Also, it lists all the irrelevant registry entries for you and you can just tick the ones that you want to delete. The program asks if you would like it to make a back-up of the registry before it does its thing. That is good news! Did you have to back up your system or anything before running sCleaner to be on the safe side? Once I removed those items the fresh install of NX-D went fine and all was good. I ended up running a registry cleaning program called cCleaner that found several lingering NX-D entries plus I found another folder with some NX-D files that hadn’t been removed by the NX-D uninstaller program. I asked Nikon support the same question but all they did was send me a link to download ND-X again.Īny expertise and assistance would be greatly appreciated. In past years, Nikon support has had registry sweep programs to clean this sort of issue but the sweep programs were specific to the particular software that was affected. I need the NXD to convert my D850 files into tifs. I don't want to affect my older Capture NX2 program. I can't see any NX-D folders left after uninstalling the program. Have now tried to uninstall and reinstall twice but no luck.ĭoes anyone know if there Is there a way to totally purge my machine of all previous bits of the program before trying to install a fresh version again? I suspect there are some lingering registry issues or corrupted files from the original program crash that are still lurking. Turned off my virus software, tried to run as administrator. ![]() So I uninstalled the program and rebooted a couple times, Then downloaded the latest version of NXD from the Nikon Canada site. I've used it for a couple years but it suddenly froze and won't launch. ![]() On my Windows 10 PC, my Nikon NX-D software suddenly quit working. ![]()
